Hello, my name is Martin, I am fully qualified electrical and electronic test engineer to BTEC National Diploma Level 3 and over 20 years experience in the electronics test industry. At my previous employer I was designated to perform the PAT testing program on behalf of the Quality Assurance Department and did so successfully for over 10 years. During my initial period I was placed to a PAT Testing Course at Eastleigh College of which I enjoyed, I still process the qualification certification, a copy is available in PDF file format. Since leaving the company I have been considering going solo at providing my own independant service of PAT Testing. I use my own equipment for carrying out test procedures which include a calibrated battery powered hand-held automatic tester along with pass/fail calibration labels. I also possess several adaptors allowing me to test equipment which is powered from yellow and blue power sockets. Away from professional duties I also provide PAT testing for exhibitors of mains powered equipment at model making exhibitions. If DBS (CRB) is requested, this will may subject to a small additional charge to cover necessary costs.
